This review is from: Gibson Flying V 7-String Electric Guitar, Ebony (Electronics) Guitar arrived today in perfect condition and with perfect set-up. This is my first 7 string so it takes some getting used to. While it may be my first its not the first i've played. The neck in not as thin as ibanez model which makes for a better play in my opinion. The tuning pegs (similar to the ones on my reverse explorer) hold tuning great even in drop tunings. While i am not a fan of most EMG pickups these have some nice qualities to them. They have the best tone i've heard from any EMGs.It is a little heavier than my regular gibson v with most the extra wieght coming from the wider neck. Even with the heavier neck this guitar is perfectly balanced when playing standing. Great guitar.
