I went with this Yamaha because of the guitar teachers's recommendation. Maybe this one is an older model (as is often the case when a teacher is recommending the same model every year). Regardless, it sounds just great and has held up fine in the month since we received it. By the way, the shipping was killer good. Massive double-boxing and overnight shipping for a few dollars...can't believe it. My only other comparison is a Jasmine/Takamine acoustic we bought a few months earlier. There are some notches in the fret already...can't believe the poor quality on that. In comparison, this Yamaha does live up to the Yamaha name. |
